Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare Chicken
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place each chicken breast between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
- 2
Fill Chicken
Lay a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast. Fold the chicken over to enclose the filling and secure with toothpicks if necessary.
- 3
Coat Chicken
Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one dish, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
- 4
Sauté Chicken
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 5
Make Sauce
In the same skillet, add the white wine and cook for about 2 minutes to reduce slightly. Stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- 6
Bake
Transfer the sautéed chicken breasts to a baking dish. Pour the wine/cream sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
