Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Cut the pork shoulder into bite-sized cubes and place in a large bowl.
- 2
Season the Meat
Add minced garlic, salt, black pepper, cumin, oregano, olive oil, and lemon juice to the bowl. Mix well to coat the pork evenly with the seasonings. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
- 3
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat enough olive oil over medium-high heat to cover the bottom of the pan.
- 4
Cook the Pork
Add the marinated pork cubes to the skillet in a single layer. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the pork is golden brown and crispy on the outside and cooked through.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, transfer the carne frita to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of sides.
