Classic Shrimp Cocktail

1

Prepare the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 1 quart of water to a boil. Add the halved lemon and Old Bay seasoning to the water.

2

Cook the Shrimp

Once the water is boiling, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and drain.

3

Chill the Shrimp

Transfer the cooked shrimp to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5 minutes.

4

Serve

Serve chilled shrimp with cocktail sauce on the side.

7

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

8

Drain and Serve

Remove shrimp from oil and drain on paper towels. Toss with sweet chili sauce before serving.
