Remove Steak From Fridge
Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps in achieving an even cook.

Preheat the Pan
Heat a heavy skillet (cast iron works best) over medium-high heat until it’s very hot, about 5 minutes.

Check Doneness
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.

Rest the Steak
Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
