Candle Ingredients

Method

Candle Making Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare Your Workspace

Ensure your workspace is clean and free from distractions. Lay out all your ingredients and tools for easy access.

  2. 2

    Melt the Soy Wax

Measure 12 cups of soy wax flakes and place them in a double boiler or a microwave-safe container. Heat the wax on low to medium heat until it is completely melted, stirring occasionally to ensure even melting.

  3. 3

    Add Fragrance and Color

Once the wax is melted, remove it from the heat. Add 1.5 cups of Mish Mish fragrance oil and stir thoroughly. Then, add 1 teaspoon of dye to achieve the desired apricot color and mix well until the color is uniform.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Wicks

While the wax cools slightly, secure a candle wick to the bottom of each container using a small amount of melted wax or a wick sticker. Ensure the wick is centered and upright.

  5. 5

    Pour the Wax

When the wax temperature reaches around 140°F (60°C), carefully pour the wax into each prepared container, leaving a little space at the top. Ensure the wick remains centered while pouring.

  6. 6

    Cool and Set

Allow the candles to cool at room temperature for several hours or until completely solid. This may take 2-4 hours depending on the size of the containers.

  7. 7

    Trim the Wicks

Once the candles are set, trim the wicks to about 1/4 inch above the wax surface to ensure a proper burn.

  8. 8

    Cure the Candles

For the best scent throw, let the candles cure for at least 48 hours before burning. This allows the fragrance to fully bind with the wax.

  9. 9

    Enjoy or Gift

Your A Baker's Dozen of Mish Mish Candles are now ready to be enjoyed or gifted! Light them up to fill your space with the delightful scent of Mish Mish.
