Vegetable Dumplings

Method

Gravy Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Base

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  2. 2

Cook the Onion and Bell Pepper

Add the finely chopped onion and bell pepper to the pan. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent and the bell pepper is slightly soft.

  3. 3

    Add Sauces and Liquid

Stir in soy sauce and chili sauce. Mix well then pour in the vegetable stock or water, stirring to combine.

  4. 4

    Thicken the Gravy

Add the cornstarch mixed with water into the gravy, stirring continuously until it thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine Dumplings with Gravy

Carefully add the fried vegetable dumplings into the thickened gravy. Simmer for a few minutes, coating the dumplings well with the gravy.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving hot with steamed rice or noodles.
