Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Paneer
Cut the paneer into bite-sized cubes, approximately 1-inch in size.
- 2
Marinate Paneer
In a large mixing bowl, combine ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt. Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and mix well. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Frying
- 3
Coat the Paneer
After marination, add rice flour and cornstarch to the paneer mixture and toss gently to coat all pieces evenly.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F). Ensure there is enough oil to submerge the paneer cubes.
- 5
Fry the Paneer
Carefully add the coated paneer cubes to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-6 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Garnishing
- 6
Garnish
In the same pan, quickly fry the curry leaves until crispy and aromatic. Toss them over the fried paneer. Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
