Fried Rice Ingredients

Method

Fried Rice Preparation

  1. 1

    Cooking the Rice

Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak in water for 30 minutes, then drain. In a pot, add 3 cups of water, bring to a boil, add the rice and a pinch of salt. Cook on low heat until all water is absorbed and rice is fluffy (approximately 15 minutes). Fluff with a fork and set aside.

  2. 2

    Preparing Paneer

Cut the paneer into small cubes. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the paneer cubes until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sautéing Vegetables

In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté the chopped onions until they are translucent. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. 4

    Adding More Ingredients

Stir in the chopped bell peppers and green peas. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  5. 5

    Combining Rice and Paneer

Add the cooked rice to the pan, along with the fried paneer. Pour in the soya sauce, sesame oil, and mix gently till well combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Finishing Touches

Stir in the chopped mint leaves just before serving for a fresh flavor. Mix thoroughly and cook for another minute.

  7. 7

    Serving

Serve the Mintt Special Paneer Fried Rice hot, garnished with additional mint leaves if desired.
