Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and prepare them by chopping and measuring as needed.

  2. 2

    Heat Oil

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

  3. 3

    Sauté Onions

Add the finely chopped onions to the pot and sauté until they are golden brown, approximately 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Garlic and Ginger

Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  5. 5

    Cook Lamb

Add the boneless lamb pieces to the pot, and cook for 5-10 minutes until browned on all sides.

  6. 6

    Incorporate Tomato Puree

Stir in the pureed tomatoes, curry powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

  7. 7

    Simmer the Curry

Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  8. 8

    Add Coconut Milk

After 30 minutes, stir in the coconut milk and simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

  9. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, garnish with fresh chopped cilantro and serve warm with rice or naan.
