Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preparation of Ingredients

First, prepare all the ingredients. Cut the paneer into cubes, bell peppers into strips, onions into thin slices, and tomatoes into small pieces. Chop the green chilies and cilantro finely.

  2. 2

    Heating the Pan

In a large skillet or kadai, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat until hot.

  3. 3

    Cooking the Spices

Add cumin seeds to the hot oil. Let them sizzle for a few seconds until fragrant. Then, add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

  4. 4

    Adding Ginger-Garlic Paste

Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.

  5. 5

    Incorporating Tomatoes

Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they become soft and mushy (about 5 minutes). Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt at this stage.

  6. 6

    Adding Paneer and Bell Peppers

Gently fold in the paneer cubes and bell peppers. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the bell peppers are tender but still crunchy.

  7. 7

    Finishing Touch

Sprinkle garam masala and chopped cilantro over the top. Gently mix to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  8. 8

    Serving

Remove from heat and serve hot with naan or rice.
