Cauliflower Preparation

Method

Cauliflower Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Cauliflower

Wash the cauliflower and cut it into medium-sized florets.

  2. 2

    Make the Batter

In a mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add water to create a smooth batter.

  3. 3

    Coat Cauliflower

Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.

  4. 4

    Fry Cauliflower

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the coated cauliflower in the oil. Fry until golden and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Manchurian Sauce

  1. 5

    Saute Aromatics

In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add minced ginger, garlic, and chopped green chilies. Sauté until fragrant.

  2. 6

    Prepare Sauce

Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, and vinegar to the pan. Mix well and bring to a low simmer.

  3. 7

    Mix Cauliflower and Sauce

Once the sauce is prepared, add the fried cauliflower to the pan. Stir well to coat all the florets with the sauce.

  4. 8

    Garnish

Add chopped spring onions and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine and remove from heat.
