Ingredients for Chili Paneer Gravy
Method
Directions for Preparing Chili Paneer Gravy
- 1
Prepare the Paneer
Cut the paneer into cubes. In a mixing bowl, combine cornflour, all-purpose flour, and salt. Gradually add water to make a smooth batter. Dip each paneer cube into the batter until well coated.
- 2
Fry the Paneer
In a frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the battered paneer cubes into the oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 3
Prepare the Gravy
In a separate pan, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Next, add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for another 1-2 minutes.
- 4
Add Spices
Add the chopped green chilies and sauté for another minute. Then pour in the tomato puree and soy sauce. Stir to combine and cook for 4-5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- 5
Combine
Once the gravy has thickened, add the fried paneer cubes. Gently toss to coat the paneer in the gravy. Adjust salt according to your taste.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander. Serve hot with rice or naan.
