Butter Chicken Ingredients
Method
Butter Chicken Directions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a large bowl, season the boneless chicken tenders with salt, garam masala, and half of the minced garlic. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes for maximum flavor.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet or pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
- 3
Sauté Aromatics
In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Then add the remaining minced garlic and grated ginger and cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
- 4
Make the Sauce
Add the tomato puree to the pan, stirring well to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream, sugar, and the remaining garam masala. Let it cook for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce becomes creamy.
- 5
Combine Chicken with Sauce
Add the cooked chicken back into the sauce, mixing well to coat the chicken evenly. Cook for an additional 5 minutes on low heat to meld the flavors. Adjust seasoning with additional salt if needed.
