Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the country sausage links until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from skillet and let rest.

  2. 2

    Fry the Eggs

In the same skillet, crack the eggs and fry them to your desired doneness, seasoning with salt and black pepper as needed. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

Place a slice of pepperjack cheese on top of each fried egg and cover the skillet for 1-2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese is melting, spread butter on the cut sides of the pretzel buns and toast them in a separate pan or under a broiler until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each toasted pretzel bun, spread a generous amount of bacon jam. Add a sausage link, followed by the cheesy fried egg. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy your Brunch On A Bun!
