Prepare the Patty
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into a 1/2 lb patty.

Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Cook the Burger Patty
In the same skillet, cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

Melt the Cheese
Place the slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assemble the Burger
Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of the burger bun. Add the cooked patty with melted cheese, followed by crispy bacon and tomato jam. Top with the other half of the bun.
