Teriyaki Salmon

Shioyaki Salmon

Method

Teriyaki Salmon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours.

  3. 3

    Cook the Salmon

Preheat the grill or broiler. Remove the salmon from the marinade and grill for about 4-6 minutes per side, basting with leftover marinade.

  4. 4

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve hot.

Shioyaki Salmon

  1. 5

    Prepare the Salmon

Sprinkle salt evenly over the salmon fillets and let them sit for about 15-20 minutes to allow the salt to penetrate.

  2. 6

    Cook the Salmon

Preheat the grill or broiler. Grill the salted salmon for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through and lightly charred.

  3. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions, serve with lemon wedges.
