Edamame

Kaizen Ribs

Method

Edamame

  1. 1

    Prepare Edamame

Boil water in a pot, add edamame, and cook for about 5 minutes until tender. Drain and sprinkle with sea salt.

Crispy Gyoza

  1. 2

    Make Gyoza Filling

In a bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.

  2. 3

    Form Gyoza

Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of each gyoza wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold to seal.

  3. 4

    Cook Gyoza

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add gyoza and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Add a splash of water, cover, and steam for another 3 minutes.

Ebi Fry

  1. 5

    Prepare Shrimp

Dredge each shrimp in flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.

  2. 6

    Fry Shrimp

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan. Fry shrimp until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Chicken Teriyaki

  1. 7

    Make Teriyaki Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer until slightly thickened.

  2. 8

    Cook Chicken

Grill or pan-sear chicken thighs until cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Brush teriyaki sauce over chicken while cooking.

  3. 9

    Serve

Slice chicken and garnish with chopped green onions.

Kaizen Ribs

  1. 10

    Marinate Ribs

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Coat ribs with marinade and let sit for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 11

    Cook Ribs

Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Place ribs on a baking sheet and cover with foil. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender. Uncover and broil for 5-10 minutes to caramelize.
