Method

Brownie Base

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

2

Melt Butter and Mix Sugars

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.

3

Add Eggs and Vanilla

Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

4

Add Dry Ingredients

Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

5

Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely.

11

Add Whipped Cream

Top each layered brownie with a dollop of whipped cream.

12

Garnish

Dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top to garnish.
