Collect all the ingredients needed for the Mai Tai, including Carpano Antica, Basil Hayden Dark Rye, Amaro dell Etna, Campari, and orange bitters.

Fill a cocktail glass with ice water to chill while you prepare the drink.
Mixing

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add 1 oz of Carpano Antica, 1 oz of Basil Hayden Dark Rye, 0.5 oz of Amaro dell Etna, 0.5 oz of Campari, and 2 dashes of orange bitters.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Serving

Prepare the Glass
Discard the ice water from the chilled cocktail glass.

Strain the mixture from the shaker into the chilled glass.
