Chicken Fingers
French Fries
Method
Chicken Fingers
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, place the flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and bread crumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in the third.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the bread crumb mixture. Ensure each strip is well coated.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken strips in batches. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
French Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 6
Soak the Fries
Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
- 7
Fry the Fries
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the potato strips in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
