Ingredients

Flatbread Dough

House Sauce

Four Cheese Blend

Preparation

Flatbread Dough

1. Prepare the Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

2. Make the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the frothy yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

3. Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. Let it Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

House Sauce

5. Mix the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine tomato sauce, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Assembly

6. Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a baking sheet or pizza stone in the oven to heat.

7. Roll Out the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a rectangle or circle, about 1/4 inch thick.

8. Add Sauce and Cheese

Transfer the rolled-out dough to a piece of parchment paper. Spread a generous amount of house sauce over the dough, leaving a small border. Sprinkle the four cheese blend evenly on top.

9. Bake the Flatbread

Carefully transfer the flatbread (with parchment) onto the heated baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

10. Slice and Serve

Remove the flatbread from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice into squares or wedges and serve warm.
