Warm the Tortillas
In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the corn tortillas one at a time, warming them for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

Cook the Ground Beef
In a separate pan, brown 1 cup of ground beef over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Season the Beef
Add 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 0.5 teaspoon of salt, and 0.5 teaspoon of pepper to the cooked beef. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2 minutes.
Assemble the Tacos

Fill the Taco Shells
Take two warmed tortillas and fill each with a generous amount of the seasoned ground beef. Top with 1 cup each of diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.

Add salsa and sliced avocado to taste. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.
