Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Home Fries

In a skillet, cook the home fries over medium heat until they are golden brown and crispy, about 10-15 minutes. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add a little butter if needed, and sauté the chopped onion and bell pepper until they are soft, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Omelette

In a bowl, beat the eggs and season with salt and black pepper. Pour the eggs into the skillet over medium heat and let them cook for a minute.

  4. 4

    Add Fillings

Once the edges of the omelette start to set, add the sautéed vegetables and diced ham evenly over one half of the omelette. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.

  5. 5

    Fold the Omelette

Gently fold the omelette in half over the fillings and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully cooked.

  6. 6

    Toast the Bread

While the omelette is finishing, toast the slice of bread to your liking.

  7. 7

    Serve

Plate the omelette with the home fries on the side and the toasted bread. Enjoy your Western Omelette!
