Flautas Ingredients

Method

Flautas Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken (or your choice of protein) with seasoning to taste. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Flautas

Take one corn tortilla, place a small amount of the filling along one edge, and roll tightly. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.

  3. 3

    Fry the Flautas

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the rolled flautas, seam side down. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  4. 4

    Drain and Serve

Once crispy, remove the flautas from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve them hot, topped with Mexican crema, shredded lettuce, crumbled white cheese, chopped onion, and sliced avocado. Offer green or red hot sauce on the side.
