Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, fresh dill, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the fillets are well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. 4

    Prepare the Baking Tray

Line a baking tray with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

  3. 5

    Bake the Salmon

Place the marinated salmon fillets on the prepared baking tray. If using, place lemon slices on top of the salmon. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 6

    Optional: Cook the Asparagus

If using asparagus, toss it in olive oil, salt, and pepper, and place it on the baking tray alongside the salmon for the last 10 minutes of cooking.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with cooked asparagus on the side, garnished with additional fresh dill if desired.
