Method

Preparation of Filling

  1. 1

    Combine the Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Assembling Crab Rangoon

  1. 2

    Fill the Wrappers

Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the crab filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper over to create a triangle, pressing the edges to seal. You can also bring the corners of the triangle together to form a traditional crab rangoon shape.

  2. 3

    Repeat

Repeat the process with the remaining wonton wrappers and filling until all are filled and sealed.

Frying

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Crab Rangoon

Carefully add a few crab rangoon at a time to the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally for even cooking.

  3. 6

    Drain

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried crab rangoon from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Hot

Serve the crab rangoon hot with sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce for dipping.
