Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Forming the Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form them into 6oz patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb.

  2. 2

    Cooking the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until desired doneness.

Caramelizing the Onions

  1. 3

    Cooking the Onions

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until they are golden brown and caramelized.

Making the Dijon Aioli

  1. 4

    Mixing the Aioli

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth and set aside.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toasting the Buns

Toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Building the Burger

Spread Dijon aioli on the bottom half of each bun. Place the lettuce, tomato slices, bacon, and the cooked patty with cheese on top. Add caramelized onions and pickles before topping with the other half of the bun.
