Sandwich Components

Method

Caramelized Onions

1

Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, add a bit of oil and sliced onions. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

Roasted Garlic Basil Aioli

2

Make the Aioli

In a small bowl, mash the roasted garlic cloves and mix them with mayonnaise and chopped basil leaves until well combined.

Assembling the Sandwich

3

Toast the Ciabatta

Toast the ciabatta slices until golden brown.

4

Layer the Ingredients

Spread the roasted garlic basil aioli on one slice of ciabatta. Layer with turkey, bacon, havarti cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a generous amount of caramelized onions. Top with the other slice of ciabatta.

5

Serve

Cut the sandwich in half and serve with cranberry apple chutney on the side.
