For the Beef Patty

For Assembling the Burger

Method

Preparing the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ground Beef

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Continue cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired level of doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked beef patty with melted cheddar. Top with a slice of tomato, some onion rings, ketchup, and mustard as desired. Place the top half of the bun over the toppings.
