Chicken Wings

Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken Wings

In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and olive oil. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Marinate

Let the wings marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate for up to 2 hours for better flavor.

BBQ Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the BBQ Sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

  2. 4

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cooking the Wings

  1. 5

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.

  2. 6

    Bake the Wings

Arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.

  3. 7

    Glaze with BBQ Sauce

During the last 10 minutes of baking, brush the wings generously with the prepared BBQ sauce. Return to the oven for the remaining time.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
