Mix the Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine the tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, hickory smoke flavoring, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and water.

Heat the Sauce
Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir the mixture until it's well combined and smooth.

Simmer
Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Once the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded, remove it from the heat and let it cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
