Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the beef into 2 equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Add a slice of American cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the hamburger buns in half and toast them on the skillet or grill until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the McDouble

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place one beef patty with melted cheese. Add pickles, diced onion, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the second beef patty and finish with the top half of the bun.
