Mushroom Three Wine Reduction

Prepare the Chopped Steak

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined.

Form the mixture into 4 patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.

Remove patties from the skillet and let rest while preparing the sauce.
Prepare the Mushroom Three Wine Reduction

Pour in the red wine, white wine, and port wine. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate.

Add the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for an additional 10 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly.

Stir in butter and fresh thyme. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
