Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your grill or smoker to 225°F (107°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and season generously with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

Make the Apple Cider BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until well mixed and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Cook the Ribs

Place the ribs on the grill or smoker bone side down. Cook for approximately 4-5 hours, or until tender. Baste the ribs with the apple cider BBQ sauce during the last hour of cooking.

  4. 4

    Make the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate bowl, mix together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, tossing to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once the ribs are cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes. Serve with remaining apple cider BBQ sauce and coleslaw on the side.
