Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preparation

Remove the Wagyu sirloin strip steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps in even cooking.

  2. 2

    Seasoning the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Generously season both sides with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  3. 3

    Searing the Steak

In a large cast-iron skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering. Carefully place the steak in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it.

  4. 4

    Flipping the Steak

Flip the steak using tongs and add the butter and rosemary to the skillet. Cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, basting the steak with the melted butter and rosemary as it cooks.

  5. 5

    Resting

Remove the steak from the skillet and place it on a cutting board. Tent it loosely with aluminum foil and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serving

Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately, drizzling any remaining pan juices over the slices.
