Preparation of Tea

Boil Water
In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

Add Green Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 2 tablespoons of green tea leaves. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.

Strain Tea
After steeping, strain the tea leaves from the water, discarding the leaves. You should have a clear green tea base.
Flavoring

Add Mint Leaves
Add 1 cup of fresh mint leaves to the strained tea. Stir gently to release the mint's essential oils.

Sweeten the Tea
Stir in 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar, adjusting to taste. Mix until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Serve
Pour the tea into traditional Moroccan tea glasses or cups. Serve hot, garnished with a sprig of mint if desired.
