Chocolate Terrine Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Terrine Base

In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined and press into the bottom of a greased loaf pan. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Make the Ganache

In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until just simmering. Remove from heat and add chopped semi-sweet chocolate. Stir until smooth and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Terrine

Pour the ganache over the chilled graham cracker crust in the loaf pan. Smooth the top and return to the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Blackberry Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine blackberries and sugar. Cook over medium heat until the blackberries break down and the mixture thickens, about 10-15 minutes. Strain if desired and let cool.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once the terrine is set, remove it from the loaf pan and slice. Serve with blackberry sauce drizzled on top and a scoop of black raspberry ice cream on the side.
