Salmon

Method

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 1

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F or 190°C to 200°C).

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon fillets and rub it in gently. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Grill the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets on the preheated grill. Grill for 4-6 minutes on each side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Making the Tomato Basil Butter

  1. 4

    Soften the Butter

In a mixing bowl, allow the unsalted butter to come to room temperature so that it softens.

  2. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Add the finely chopped tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the softened butter. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  3. 6

    Chill the Butter

Transfer the mixture onto a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap. Roll it into a log shape and twist the ends tightly. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Salmon

Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the grill and place it on a serving plate.

  2. 8

    Add Tomato Basil Butter

Slice the chilled tomato basil butter into rounds and place a slice on top of each grilled salmon fillet. Allow it to melt slightly before serving.
