Method
Hummus Preparation
Combine Ingredients
In a food processor, combine the canned chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, and salt.
Blend until Smooth
Process the mixture until it becomes smooth. If the hummus is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
Taste and Adjust
Taste the hummus and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more salt or lemon juice to your preference.
Pita Preparation
Warm the Pita
Optional: Lightly toast or warm the whole wheat pita bread in a toaster or on a skillet for about 1-2 minutes until warm and slightly crispy.
Slice Pita
Cut each pita into wedges for easy dipping.
