Shrimp Preparation

Breading Mixture

Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the large shrimp with salt and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

Breading Mixture

  1. 2

    Prepare the Breading Stations

Set up three shallow plates: one with all-purpose flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and one with a mixture of panko breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. 3

    Bread the Shrimp

Dredge each shrimp in flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, then coat it with the panko breadcrumb mixture. Ensure the shrimp is fully covered in breadcrumbs.

Frying

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Shrimp

Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the shrimp and drain on paper towels.

  3. 6

    Serve

Serve the fried shrimp hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
