Lemon Butter Sauce
Method
Preparing the Filet Mignon

Season the Steak
Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the 8 oz filet mignon.

Sear the Steak
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the filet mignon and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

Rest the Steak
Remove the filet from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Preparing the Crab Meat

Mix the Crab Meat
In a bowl, gently mix the lump crab meat with 1 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning. Be careful not to break up the crab lumps.
Making the Lemon Butter Sauce

Melt the Butter
In the same skillet used for the steak, lower the heat to medium. Add 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter and allow to melt.

Finish the Sauce
Remove from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley.
