Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the bow tie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside, reserving a little pasta water.

Preparing Chicken and Veggies

  1. 3

    Slice Roasted Chicken

While the pasta cooks, slice the roasted chicken into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced bell peppers, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender.

Making Cheese Sauce

  1. 5

    Prepare Roux

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until golden.

  2. 6

    Add Milk

Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring no lumps form. Cook until the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Cheese

Remove from heat and stir in the shredded Asiago cheese until melted and smooth.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 8

    Combine Pasta, Chicken, and Veggies

In the skillet with sautéed vegetables, add the drained pasta and sliced roasted chicken. Pour the cheese sauce over the top and toss everything together to coat.

  2. 9

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste and season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning as desired.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate and Serve

Serve the Prima Chicken Pasta in bowls, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
