Flaming Queso
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Jalapeños
Slice the jalapeños in half, remove the seeds if you prefer less heat, and set aside.
- 2
Mix the Cheeses
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and cream cheese. Mix well until evenly blended.
Cooking
- 3
Heat the Mixture
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the cheese mixture and milk. Stir constantly until the cheeses melt and the mixture is smooth.
- 4
Add Seasoning and Salsa
Once the cheese is melted, add the Yucatan seasoning and fresh salsa to the skillet. Stir until fully incorporated.
- 5
Incorporate Jalapeños
Add the sliced jalapeños to the cheese mixture and stir to combine. Allow to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the jalapeños are slightly softened.
Serving
- 6
Serve Hot
Remove the skillet from heat and serve the flaming queso immediately with corn tortilla chips for dipping.
