Catfish

Drawn Butter

Method

Preparation of Catfish

  1. 1

    Coat the Catfish

In a small bowl, mix the Cajun spice blend with olive oil to form a paste. Rub this mixture evenly over the catfish filet, ensuring it's well-coated on both sides. Allow it to marinate for about 15 minutes to enhance the flavor.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, allow the coals to get white hot. For a gas grill, let it heat for about 10-15 minutes.

Cooking the Catfish

  1. 3

    Grill the Catfish

Place the marinated catfish filet directly onto the grill grates. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Avoid flipping too soon to prevent sticking.

Preparation of Drawn Butter

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and keep warm.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate and Serve

Once the catfish is cooked, carefully remove it from the grill and place it on a serving plate. Drizzle the melted drawn butter over the catfish and serve immediately.
