Prepare Chicken for Grilling
Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
- 3
Grill the Chicken
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and grill for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 4
Add Cheddar Cheese
In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each chicken breast and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
- 5
Prepare the Vegetables
While the chicken is grilling, wash and shred the iceberg lettuce. Slice the tomato and red onion.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each hamburger bun. Place the grilled chicken with melted cheese on top, followed by shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, red onion, and dill pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
