Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Beef
Start by seasoning the chuck roast with salt, black pepper, and Creole seasoning on all sides.
- 2
Sear the Roast
In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Sear the roast for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- 3
Combine Ingredients in Slow Cooker
Transfer the seared roast to a slow cooker. Add sliced onions, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
- 4
Cook the Roast
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- 5
Shred the Beef
Once cooked, remove the roast from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the au jus in the slow cooker.
- 6
Serve
Spoon the shredded beef and debris onto a toasted French roll or serving dish. Drizzle with additional au jus as desired.
