Boudin Balls Ingredients
Boudin Balls Preparation
1. Prepare the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the boudin sausage, cooked rice, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
2. Form the Balls
Add the eggs to the mixture and mix until incorporated. Using your hands, shape the mixture into balls about the size of a golf ball. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
3. Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
4. Fry the Boudin Balls
Carefully drop the boudin balls into the hot oil in batches, being sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
5. Drain and Serve
Remove the boudin balls from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
