Sauce

Method

Marinating the Pork

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, cornstarch, and ground black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Pork

Slice the pork tenderloin into thin strips. Add the pork to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Stir-Frying

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  2. 4

    Cook the Aromatics

Add minced garlic and ginger to the hot oil. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 5

    Add the Vegetables

Add the sliced red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.

  4. 6

    Cook the Pork

Add the marinated pork strips to the skillet. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the pork is cooked through and browned.

Making the Sauce

  1. 7

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, and water until sugar is dissolved.

  2. 8

    Combine and Serve

Pour the sauce over the pork and vegetables in the skillet. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
