Chicken Strips Preparation
1. Prepare the Chicken
Trim any excess fat from the chicken breast fillets and cut them into strips about 1 inch wide.
2. Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, whisk the egg and milk together in the second bowl, and put the bread crumbs in the third bowl.
3. Season the Flour
Add salt, black pepper, and paprika to the flour and mix well.
4. Bread the Chicken Strips
Dredge each chicken strip in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Dip into the egg mixture, then coat with bread crumbs. Set aside on a plate.
5. Fry the Chicken Strips
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken strips and fry for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

6. Toast the Buns (optional)
If desired, lightly toast the sandwich buns in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.
7. Prepare the Tomato
Slice the tomato into thin slices.
8. Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise on the top and bottom of each bun. Place the leafy lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the fried chicken strips, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
9. Serve
Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately with your choice of sides.
