Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean and Cut Cuttlefish

Rinse the cuttlefish under cold water. Remove the outer skin, and slice the cuttlefish into thin rings.

  2. 2

    Prepare Vegetables

Julienne the bell peppers and carrot. Slice the onion into thin wedges, mince the garlic, and grate the ginger.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Sauté Aromatics

Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the hot oil and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 5

    Cook Cuttlefish

Add the sliced cuttlefish to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn opaque.

  4. 6

    Add Vegetables

Stir in the bell peppers, carrot, and onion, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.

  5. 7

    Combine Sauces

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, chili flakes, and sugar. Pour the sauce over the stir-fried mixture and toss well to coat.

  6. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with steamed rice.
